7 Saturday grilling at day... And grinding at night

I was out till late the Friday before and went back home late.

So I missed Anwar calling and texting me in the morning to meet for a grill in the afternoon.
And again I missed it around 12.

Then I got up, ate something, told him I'd meet him later and... Fell asleep again.
It was 5 when I got up again and also Speedo called and I got going.

After knowing each other for quite a while by now and meeting at the very least once a week for some good fun, this was the first time I was going to Anwar's place and meeting his family.

The old frenzy
The guys were all already all there, and I started getting ready while being happily seized by my old frenzy of mixed excitement, rush and euphoria.

It's a feeling I get when I look forward to going somewhere and having fun and my friends are already there and I feel I gotta run because I'm missing something good.

I still remember having it as kid.
We often used to play football behind in a field behind my house. And when I could see the guys had already started gathering there, I'd go crazy.
Changing the shoes to the "playing shoes" was painful as it took too much time, but I hat to do it to enjoy to the fullest (I still remember: they were ninja turtles shoes). Then I'd run run run and at every moment I would think "then, I'm still here, I'm still here, I'm still here, run run run" :D.
And when I'd finally get there I'd scream to get the ball passed to me for the warm up shoot :).

I also remember another time I was having that feeling at extremely high doses. I was in Erasmus, and as many were leaving we were planning our last night to be memorable.
It was our goodbye party, I had to enjoy it to the fullest.
It was around midnight, relatively early for a club, but it was the last big night and I was so in a hurry that I took what was probably my first taxi ever and... Badly overpaid for it. And once I got there... Goddamn it, almost nobody was there!
What the hell, everybody used to go out so early and tonight I had been rushing like crazy for nothing? :D

Anyway, I still used to get that feeling everytime I was going to Legenda and the guys were already there :).
And now back to the grill.

I play a and jump around a couple of times on "Get lucky", my new soundtrack and off I went.

GRILL
I was glad to meet the guys and Anwar's family in daytime for a good grill.
I wasn't going out much on daytime and I rarely ate some good meat.

Anwar's wife and kid were great.

Anwar wasn't having a fantastic relationship with his wife though.
They were getting along, but love wasn't there.
As boyfriend and girlfriend, they were on a bad path when she got pregnant and then the oncoming kid acted as a catalyst for them to stay together and get married.

So I was actually a bit surprised to see a cute girl and a very nice and friendly one when I got there.
She was friendly to us, and helpful, and going to get forks and stuff for us every time.

I was glad Anwar had a nice family and a nice place.

Speedo was there too.
He said the kid was coming more to me because I was the same colour and he recognized me as a homie :D.
We were joking a bit about pork meat and how good it was, me telling Speedo he didn't know what he was missing as the pork ribs were "better than pussy" :D (a lot to say, as that was one of our main topics).

LEGENDA
Then we went out to, guess what... ? The bar in front, Legenda.
I had been out Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and... Wanted to take a bit of a break from night time for that evening.
Also I couldn't stand staying indoor and in Legenda anymore but... It was raining outside (Thanks Czech Republic! :) ).

Speedo started chatting up with two girls I didn't really like too much. Anwar joined them. One kept glancing at me in a way I interpreted as interest (as I always do :D ). She wasn't too bad but not too good either and I was a bit off, so I stayed around my place. Not many good options that evening.

I then walked Anwar to the tram stop when he was leaving. We stopped to take a look at a club on the way, and it was packed. More so than on Friday (or possibly because I tend to go there pretty late and not on peak hours).
Damn, I wish I had the energies and the willingness to party every time! :)

Then I went back home.

ALIBI, YES CLUB
But at 3 Speedo called.
He was with the two girls (and a guy BTW, but he was just tagging along falling asleep) and he needed some help.
Goddamn it, what can I do!
I went!

I will spare you the story of that night.

I will only give you my lessons learned:

1. I felt that after the first bar, "my" girl was well warmed up for being pulled, or at the very least it was the perfect moment to go for the move home.

But the guys were all drunk, and I consented to go to another club.
Bad idea keep going to clubs till the morning when you can -and should- actually go for the pull.

1st lesson learned.

2. Out of Alibi a girl that was in the bar came to me asking for directions and suggestions on where to go. I had already noticed her and we locked eyes for some long seconds in the bar. Again I interpreted that as a sign of interest.
Now she was a in group of guys. And invited me to go with them. I was hesitating as I had my group and didn't wanna leave Speedo alone.
She teased me I was going home and then insisted for me to go with them.

She was Slovak, cute and freshly arrived in Prague.

It doesn't actually happen to me often that it's a girl walking up to me. And when does it have to happen... ? When you already have another girl on a non written commitment to wing your pal, of course! :D

This other girl inviting me with her was cuter, and had I been alone I would have certainly stuck to her.
Given her open interest, I should have at the very least tried to escalate right there and told her something "yes, I'd like to go for another beer, but I don't know your friends, I just want to be the two of us".
But I stuck with my original group.

2nd lesson learned: don't get stuck in situations and pick ups that are not yours, don't allow that to cramp your style and... Follow your heart :).
